Hi All,

The OPeNDAP team had a great participation in this years ESIP 2024 meeting “Grounded in Thrust, Data Ethics Empower Collaboration”. You can find more information about OPeNDAP’s participation in:

  • A Blog post on our website summarizing our participation, with links to all documentation/ interactive tutorials used.
  • Video recording of OPeNDAP contribution to the Session “Providing Cloud Optimized Access to Archival Datasets”, with a talk titled: “VirtualiZarr and DMR++”. The talk describes the role of DMR++ documents, sidecar files to each HDF5 dataset generated by Hyrax that contains relevant metadata (e.g. chunks references), in enabling cloud-performant access via VirtualiZarr API.
